イラクで大地震があり、

イラクの協力しあっているドクターや、JCFのスタッフへ手紙をおくりました。

イラクの友人たちへ

この度、大地震がイラクを襲ったとニュースが流れました。

私たちは、皆さんの下に被害がなかったか、とても心配しています。

日本では、地震は日常的ですが、イラクではまれな事でしょう。

皆さんが不安な状態に置かれていることに心が痛みます。

加藤さん、リカァ先生から、皆さんがご無事であると聞いて安堵しました。

今後も余震が続くと思われます。

どうぞ、日本から応援できることがありましたら、リクエストしてください。

空港は、国際線の発着が停止していますが、できる限り尽力します。

イラクは、次々にいろんな問題が起き、皆さんのお気持ちはいかがでしょうか？

From Japan Chernobyl Foundation (JCF) in JAPAN to Friends in IRAQ Dear friends in Iraq

Concerning the news of the big earthquake that had hit Iraq 2 days ago, we JCF are worried about your condition and hope that there was no injury affected you or your beloved people, or any damage in your living places. In Japan, we use to have earthquakes on continuous bases; however, this matter is rare in Iraq. Hope you are all ok!

We feel a bit relieved when Mr. Kato and Dr. Lika'a told us that you are safe. Usually, a series of aftershock earthquakes are expected to occur for a time after then, don't be afraid. If there is anything that Japan can help in, please let us know.

Actually, the suspension of the international flights to/from Erbil International Airport was shocking news for us and we are waiting for its re-operation to resume our activities to support Iraq.

Given that Iraq is a country of wars, how is your feeling after that new experience of the earthquake and the endless complaining of Iraqi people?  Let's join hands and cooperate with you our friends in Iraq to work together supporting Iraq.
